"We only stayed for one night but had a really lovely evening! The staff were very friendly, the pub/hotel have been recently refurbished and it's great. "Terrible hotel. Would avoid! Rang me on the day of check-in to say that the hotel was overbooked. I was then told that, as compensation for THEIR error, they would put me in a 'sister' hotel, which in fact looked like a 1970s pub and was not at all a like-for-like swap. "Lovely setting, great welcome, food superb, staff friendly and helpful We had the suite (kingfisher) which was an excellent room except for a radiator being stuck on in the bathroom. The lady in charge (lovely lass) managed to get it sorted as the outside temp was up in the 30’s!!! "A very lovely, friendly and comfortable hotel. Staff were super friendly. Restaurant food was great. À la carte breakfast was also very good but there was no fruit offered which I was disappointed with.
