This is a very old place, and the price is low and may restaurants nearby in parking lot. If you are looking for a low-budget place in a safe area and near some things this is a good place.

I must say this property is a lot older but for what I paid i absolutely cannot complain. The highlight of property was the staff. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Always cleaning the rooms. If I was on a strict budget I would absolutely stay here again

For the price, you just can’t complain too much. The staff were excellent, the hot tub DID work, and the bed was very clean & comfortable. Not so great: the fitness room is pretty run down, our bathroom was ok clean but needed a deep scrub, and our room phone didn’t work, nor did our TV. There’s also no elevator to the 2nd floor, which wasn’t a problem for us, but just FYI.

TV didn't work. Room smelled of smoke (as did the hallway) although booked non-smoking. Staff didn't offer for us to change rooms or anything. Only good thing was the bed was comfortable. Door leading inside was shattered and didn't even lock. Stayed here in the past with a good experience, but after this trip, we will never stay again!

For three nights stay we ended up in four different rooms. Beds were broken in the first - keys wouldn’t work in the second - couldn’t get into the room had to sleep in a third room with none of our things- then finally got back into our room. Staff was amazing. The maintenance guy was very helpful, they were apologetic. There was no manager on duty and the owner was non-responsive. It could be a decent hotel if the owner would put a little bit of money in time and care into it. Probably losing all of his good staff.

We have stayed here several times. This was our first for this fall season. We were on the 2nd floor. There was a huge bag of trash at the top of the steps on Friday afternoon and it was still there at checkout on Sunday. I reported it on sat. It was smelling bad. The carpet was dirty. Pieces of small trash in the hall. Our room did not get serviced, there was no sign anywhere indicating it would not be cleaned/made up. The price was good with Expedia. I’m hoping it was just an odd weekend and they step it up.

We were first given a key to an occupied room that we went into and quickly shut the door. Then we were given a room on the second floor (no elevator) and were given incorrect directions to the opposite side of the hotel. We found a maintenance worker who took us to the other side of the hotel to find our room. Our keys did not work. We had to go back downstairs to the front desk to get them working. The hotel is rundown. The common areas such as the halls and stairs were absolutely filthy. The room wasn’t bad. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked well. The rooms and the furniture were also run down and we did not want to sit on the chair or couch because they were in such bad condition. We will not stay here again.

Overall our stay was okay, but we were unable to control the temperature in the room and the TV signal was intermittent even though there were no storms in the area. The breakfast was good expect for the last day of our stay when they had run out of food with an hour left of service to go.

This hotel is definitely old and dated, but nevertheless was clean and comfortable. Even though my room was right near an outside door and vending machine, it was still very quiet. The bed was comfortable and I was able to get good sleep. If you’re on a tight budget and need a decent place to stay, I think Ashmore is a good option.
