Had to request a new room due to my “non smoking room” smelling like straight cigarettes. The second room then had a couch that was full of dog or cat hair. I had to clean the toilet seat myself due to urine stains being present. There was glitter all over the bathroom floor. Did not feel even comfortable enough to shower here. However, the staff at the desk were nice.

The staff was friendly and helpful at check in. The non smoking rooms however still smelled pretty heavy of smoke. There's always someone doesn't respect the non smoking rule. It was hard to sleep the 2nd night with the smoke in the air. The beds were clean, but very old. One sank in on one side. It was very uncomfortable. The breakfast was decent. The 2nd morning I went a little earlier than the day before and it was cold and also ran out of eggs and still had 2 hrs before the time was over. If you're staying for a quick business travel night it would be fine. Traveling with your family or kids for leisure, probably not.

We had 3 rooms. Toilets ran and didn't flush well. One sink was plugged and wouldn't drain. The towel rack had been ripped out of the wall and placed behind the toilet in one bathroom. The mattress kept sliding off the bed frame. Some showers had good water pressure, but others had very weak pressure. The guests in the next room were very rude, partying loudly until after 4am, even after asking them to be quieter AND after calling to the front desk for help. Most staff was courteous, but others were unprofessional, complaining in front of guests. Ice machines didn't all dispense ice...had to walk quite a ways to find a working one. Same with the vending machines.The rooms had all the usual amenities expected and the price was good, but the whole experience left us with not the best impression overall. Due to the loud neighbor issue, the hotel was gracious enough to allow us to have an hour later checkout time at no cost, which was appreciated.

On a positive note, the beds were very comfortable but that was the only positive. They did not have us in the room I had booked through Expedia. I wanted a suite with a separate bedroom and was put in a double queen room. When I went to get it changed, leaving our luggage in the room, we went back and couldn’t get into the room to retrieve our luggage. Then when we were told where our room was we searched only to find that it was in a whole separate building. Check in took 45 minutes. Then the room did not have a separate bedroom as the picture described. It was very noisy, we could hear the doors slamming and even toilets flushing next door. When I went to use the microwave the plate was missing. My husband went to eat breakfast and he said it wasn’t good at all. We will not be staying there again

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Smoke detectors were stacked on dresser upon arrival. Traveling with 3 small children so smoke detectors are important. Called front desk and was assured they would send maintenance to fix them at 3pm. Left for the evening out and upon return detectors still had not been hung or even touched. They did not respond to test button either. Notified front desk again that nothing had been done and still nobody came to install. Also, carpet between hallway in suite area and hotel room was torn and had a gap. This was an eye sore and just downgraded the overall appearance. Again staff was very nice and helpful when I went to desk for extra sheets for couch bed.

This place is rundown. The staff was nice and offered places to eat after I asked them. They also moved us from the 2nd floor to the 1st floor since they don’t have an elevator and we have lots of luggages. It went downhill from there. We went to the 1st floor room and it was filthy. The floor wasn’t vacuumed and the fridge was so dirty. They also didn’t have hand soap, which should have been prepared. They didn’t have a complimentary toothbrush either. We checked the 2nd floor room to see if it was better, but it was not. The fridge was also filthy with beer. The bathroom towel rack was missing and the wallpaper was peeling. I also noticed outside that the vents were cracked or broken. I had booked to stay there again and cancelled it. I’m not coming back here.

First room A/C was covered in dirt and lint with no vent cover and not properly functioning. Hotel is run down. tv was small and remote for tv didn’t have a back cover. Curtain had what looked like a big burn hole or attempt to cut out a burn hole in the center We didn’t feel that the cleanliness was up to par, including the linens

I didnt even stay. I was there less than an hour and I went to another hotel. The conditions were deplorable. When I got to my room the toilet has not been flushed. When I flushed it the toilet overflowed. I went to the front desk to complain and got another room. I flushed that toilet and it was backed up. I went to the front desk again with my grievance and was handed a plunger. Seriously? I asked for a refund, I was told I had to call corporate. I called Expedia, they reached out to the ownership and I still have not heard back. I also reached out to corporate and have had no response. They had no problem charging me for 3 nights. I never even spent one night. I haved filed a charge dispute with my credit card company to get my charges refunded. The hotel I ended up staying in was excellent. Stay away from the Ashmore Inn!
