Very old and tiny room. Clean though had. A fire pit and nice landscaping. It was okay when you just sleep and leave early in morning. Bed was. A bit uncomfortable

This hidden gem was just what we needed. Off the beaten path, tucked just minutes away from Hart. The family owned motel has been upgraded beyond a normal coat of paint.

I loved how nice my room was. If I could give it 10 stars I would. So clean. Loved the walk in shower. Bed was comforty. I also felt very safe.

Everything was very nice, on Saturday night there was even a nice campfire going out in the front with plenty of wood to use. Quiet and clean!

My wife and I along with our dog Ranger were going to the Jeep Silver Lake dunes rally at the end of May and I found the Last Resort Motel by googling and reading reviews. We then arrived and could not believe the quaint little motel just down the road from a lot of things in Hart and around the dunes. The hospitality was awesome. The room was very clean. Came with all the amenities like microwave, stove top, refrigerator, coffee maker and cooking necessities like pans plates silverware. The air conditioner was so cold and Ranger had plenty of room in the room and outside. I would recommend the Last Resort to anybody that would like a nice simple motel. One that’s dog friendly clean and just an overall great venue for the price. The owner Carrie was super nice and so easy to work with from beginning to end!

Room Number Eleven: The photo of the room did NOT match reality. The ancient berber carpet smelled like an ashtray and was full of runs and holes. It looked as if someone had punched a hole through the bathroom door with their fist, which did not make us feel safe. One of the shower walls was actually linoleum flooring that had buckled with use and the base of the shower had two thick mats that we refused to step on. The dead stink bug in the plastic potted plant was the cherry on top. We thought about sleeping in our car, it was that bad.

What we liked about this property is the price was very reasonable. Our room was clean and check-in was very easy. What we didn’t like about our room are the following things. The shower tub drain was backed up and we took showers in 2 to 3 inches of water. The sink was also plugged up. The bathroom wall tile and tub tile were in very bad shape and it looked like they a did a very poor repair job. The TV remote did not have volume control so you could not turn up the volume so therefore we could barely hear the TV. The air conditioner worked well, but was very loud. After we showered, we learned that the large bath towels were on a rack near the front door, not even in the bathroom! It was disgusting having to walk dripping wet all the way to the door to grab towels. Wish we would’ve noticed that before getting in! Several outlets didn’t work, and we learned later that you had to flip on a light switch in order to charge phones, etc. Lastly, the beds were pretty soft and not all that comfortable. I would not recommend staying here unless it was the very last resort.

There was no staff. A phone call to someone gave me the room number and door lock code. Arrived in a rainstorm. The light switch inside did not turn on anything. The only other lights in the main room were on either side of the bed. The bathroom door was a barn door that stuck on its track and was very difficult to open or close It was cold with the rain so I went to adjust the heating element. The remote control was only in Celsius so I had to find the conversion from my phone. I called the number to cancel the remainder of my stay and complain saying I wanted the remainder of my stay paid thru Hotels.com to be refunded to my credit card. Haven't heard yet. I was not happy.

It was a very nice place to stay was clean. People were amazing. The owners were just terrific. I just love them. They remembered me from the time it’s stayed before and everything was great.
