"We have stayed here several times over the years as our daughter attended Lancaster University. This has always been our “Go To” place and has never disappointed.
It is clean and tidy and has everything you need for a short visit. Our daughter has now graduated, but I am sure we will be back in the future and look forward to coming back to The Royal."

"Stayed in suite 2. Communication prior to stay was good re parking and check in which was as advised. Only slight issue was getting info suite which had very stiff front door. Lovely apartment , very clean on arrival with complimentary beer , prosecco and soft drinks. Information provided in apartment advised it would be serviced following day. "We stayed at The Fleece for a couple of nights. Our welcome as a pleasant professional one, despite the bar and restaurant being busy. Our room and the linen was very clean, and although quite warm, there was a fan provided that did the trick. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was good, and the breakfast, which was included, was delicious. Lovely beer garden/ courtyard to enjoy a relaxing beer.
