The location is good and stunning views. the rooms are not kept well and bathrooms were moldy tile. Not good housekeeping.

The outside hot pool and bar great...indoor pool chilly...jacuzzy great....treatment rooms rather stark and chilly....my room was ok...the hotel generally is good...but would benefit from more cleaning of door frames and paints...starting to be on the verge of looking tired....

Lovely spa hotel. Nice room comfy bed and great shower. Booked twilight spa, the Outdoor pool amazing and spa cafe serving a great choice of food and drinks. The rear of the hotel is a little tatty but don’t let this put u off. Some reviews don’t reflect its positives. Breakfast lovely and lots of choice. Would definitely return

Restaurant good, breakfast choice poor compared to some other hotels, room could have been better maintained, shower head I'll fitting, mould in bathroom seals, restaurant carpet could have done with a good clean. Grounds are lovely, staff pleasant and helpful, food good, a bit more attention to the bedrooms would lift the experience

Ordered chicken breast not breadcrumbed, came breadcrumbed and burnt . Then ordered meatball starter they brought out belly out , finally meatballs but cold . Explained as leaving , no offer of refund for the meal i had paid for

The hotel and grounds are beautiful, but the accomodation is dated and you need to pay for the spa access on top of the hotel. 20-50 gbp depending on the time. We had a lovely stay and would go back but only if there was a deal in the price. It is also very close to Manchester airport which is great

I really liked my stay - it was a last minute booking and a really good deal. Room was very comfortable and staff exceptionally friendly and helpful - especially Emma at Reception. Breakfast was a huge choice and good quality and staff very helpful. I will go back and next time make sure to use the pool facilities and do some local walks!

Absolutely beautiful building, set in its own grounds. The building was stunning. The staff were lovely friendly and professional. I left my handbag in the restaurant - didn’t discover I’d forgotten it until after we left the following morning. Returned safe and sound and fully intact! Evening meal at the restaurant was great, Excellent food. Brilliant service. The only things which let it down were the massive whole in the restaurant ceiling which had been temporarily sealed with plastic and wood. Our bin hadn’t been emptied in our hotel room. A few loose tiles in the bathroom. It just felt a little tired and unloved.

Such a grand place, but interior needs sorting out, its become very tatty. Great surroundings, nice leisure facilities, rooms comfortable but very run down, awful shower no power.
