"If you are looking to stay in an older Historic hotel with a great view give this one a try. The rooms are nicely finished and have as many modern amenities as one would expect. Your own private balcony is a real plus with views of the Ohio river and down town Madison. Walking to either is easy from this location as well if you so desire. The lobby is a neat tidy greeting place with it's own coy pond. Pictures of the original hotel in it's several iterations adorn the walls. One dating back to 1870! We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the experience."

"It was a very nice stay. The only thing that would have been helpful would be the check in time. Checking in a four was a bit late in the day."

"It was a short stay, we were VERY pleased. Gorgeous when you walk in. Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and had everything we needed. No complaints at all. It’s also less than 2 miles from the airport, and they provided shuttle service, so, very convenient!"

"The breakfast was one of the worst we've ever had at a Hampton Inn. Processed chicken sausage that was like chewing rubber, the orange juice machine was out of order, and the pastries were hard and cold as though they just came out of the freezer ."

"The room was clean and welcoming, with an awesome view. The bartender was the best. We stopped in to grab a drink before dinner, and she was absolutely the best. Very friendly, helpful with information about the local places to eat, and just easy to talk to. Made great mixed drinks too. The history of this place was why we chose to stay. Love how they took a historic building and refurbished it into something useful."
