This was a nice hotel with clean rooms, friendly staff, and comfortable beds. The only downside is the location in a busy part of town on a busy street so rooms with street facing windows were quite noisy overnight.

We had a great stay! The hotel is in a fantastic, highly walkable location—super convenient to Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, and the underground system, and an easy walk to both the Prado Museum and the Royal Palace. Plenty of dining options are nearby, plus a Starbucks right across the street. While it is an older, no-frills city hotel, it is very clean, features a helpful elevator, and offers exceptionally friendly service. A nice bonus is having complimentary coffee and tea available at any time. Highly recommend for an easy, well-located stay in Madrid!

Madrid - BB Plaza Mayor Great location just a short walk from Plaza Mayor. Would highly recommend the 6th floor suite if it is available as it was a very spacious room including a gorgeous patio with private city rooftop views. The bagged breakfast treats and the amenities in the coffee room were much appreciated to fuel up for exploring Madrid!

The lower rooms are not reached by an elevator but a series of confusing & treacherous staircases. Do not pack anything more than a knapsack if you’re in the “000” rooms. I’m 66 and struggled to get my luggage to my room but I saw 20 & 30somethings struggling as well! Very few amenities but I don’t care about that as others do. The staff were phenomenal & and very helpful. I like that. But there was no one who could help me with my luggage. Excellent location. If you get an above ground floor room there is an elevator.

Great place to stay! Centrally located, walking distance to most things! The room was clean and the hotel was quiet. They gave croissants every morning, which was a bonus. And they have a coffee bar, with some fruit and cookies. The only negative was that we were on the first floor and we need to bring out bags up about 7-8 steps, which is not terrible. Except if you have 50lbs of luggage could be inconvenient for the elderly. I would definitely recommend !

Liked the 24 hour coffee bar in the basement with free fruit cookies and good expresso machines. The morning goodies on the door was also appreciated. The hotel is in a bit of a grungy street, but it’s close to the plaza mayor and core. The old carpets and maze of stairs reminded me of an old club, but the room and shower were fine. Double check when you book that you aren’t expecting BnB Hotel Centro which is much swankier. Staff were great.
