Loved my stay, the staff were extremely helpful and kind, the cleaners too did an amazing job , one even helped decorate my room for my friends birthday with balloons, highly recommend staying at this place , it’s also close to all the amenities you would need like supermarkets and bus nearby to town
I loved that the property was open 24/7. The establishment was clean and quiet. The breakfast was wonderful e an assortment of meats/ cheeses/ fruits and pastries and more! Having the coffee machines going 24/7 was great as well! Although it was in an industrial area- it felt sade. There was a gas station next door and a Burger King a block aeay. The only negative was that we could not figure out the air conditioner and spoke to someone at the front desk but he never came by. It was too hot for me to sleep comfortably but the bed was comfortable and after being awake over 30 hrs traveling- I still slept. Lol
I loved that the hotel gave an option to skip housekeeping and get breakfast included. I stayed for the MadCool Festival to be closer to the grounds and it worked well. Unfortunately it's not within walking distance to festival so you will have to wait for an Uber after festival if you go for that or have a car to drive yourself. It was a nice modern hotel, spacious rooms and bathrooms just wish the water pressure was stronger but all in all great value for the money and close distance to airport (about 15 min ride)
New Hotel, but I’ll say it needs some maintenance.
The toilet seat was broken on the left hand side.
Bathroom sink was wobbly, not properly fitted and the bed moved all over the place.
Other than that, not bad for the price.
We were given an accessible room even though we hadn’t requested one. The layout was impractical for us: the bathroom mirror was extremely low, there were no proper bedside tables, just a tiny ledge, and there were visible holes/scuff marks on the wall where something appeared to have been removed.
There were also crumbs on the floor when we arrived, the minibar/fridge barely cooled anything, and the view was basically a dirt mound and industrial/parking area.
We asked reception to move rooms and were told they would leave a note and contact us if another room became available. Nobody ever followed up.
The biggest issue was the air conditioning. It didn’t work properly for most of the stay and showed “HL”. We raised it overnight by phone and in person, but it still wasn’t resolved. The next day, just before checkout, the manager took us into the AC control room and showed us that our room’s air conditioning had actually been switched off centrally, then turned it back on.
Most of these issues could (and should) have been resolved if someone had simply followed up.
As a frequent traveler, I’ve stayed in many hotels and this by far was the worst experience I have ever had. The staff made no effort to help us with any of our issues and after check out when they realised that our aircon was disabled centrally (literally a on/off button on the computer) they didn’t seem to care that this had massively impacted our holiday, ruined our plans and our sleep. DO NOT STAY HERE!
