But part way through the night the smell was so terrible we were awake. In the morning we realised it must have been mildew and mold. "We had a very warm welcome from the friendly staff and were shown to the room which was clean and bright. The food that evening was excellent, and as it was a warm evening we spent a pleasant time sitting outside with our drinks afterwards. "Stayed for one night, with my son, for a Mazda MX5 car meet up in the car park- the reason for our stay. The hotel is very nice. We had a meal in the Savvy Fox - i like the decor. The meal was very nice - but not cheap. The twin room was very basic, but was clean and adequate for a one night stay. The beds were very comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. "Lovely old building, good location exceptional breakfast. Parking is a bit of a nightmare after a 10 point turn in the car park had to find parking across the road which was no problem for my little car but you might struggle with a bigger car."
