Hi Chris,Sorry to hear that you were not happy with your stay. I was one of the three members of staff on reception that night that distinctly remembers you checking in. A little unkind to call us 'odd'. I think you were miffed that you thought you had paid for the room and seemed quite adamant, even though we told you with expedia bookings that the hotel collects money upon arrival. It even said so on your booking confirmation. We were full that night and endeavoured to get you sorted even though we were dealing with another couple before you, who you mentioned whose card had declined. They were very nice and were patient whilst we waited for the payment to go through. Despite being full you were the only one who complained about the room. I guess we can't win them all. You mention both the hallway and the bar were 'uninspiring', perhaps you could suggest what would be inspiring to you. We are always happy for suggestions. The breakfast is extra but fairly priced. Again it does say when you booked, it was room only. Thanks for your feedback!
