"I stayed 4 nights at this beautiful gem just outside of Ubud City Center. The accommodations are lovely and it is very quiet as the villa is backed by rice fields. The staff is exceptional! "Villa was nice however the room is very dark as there is only one door to let the light in. Outside bathroom is a nice touch but shower took sometimes over 5 min to heat up and sometimes never got above Luke warm.
Highly recommend hiring a scooter here as the location is out of ubud however the road down to the villa is very average.
Did the rice paddy walk they provide as a free activity which was quite good.

"One of the most amazing places we’ve ever stayed. Such a relaxing and friendly place, great food, and wonderful service, especially from Sri and Daisy. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to get away from the hustle and traffic of other places in Bali. The only consideration is stairs, if that’s a problem then you might want to try elsewhere, but for a great vacation you can’t go wrong with Black Penny Villas."

"This is a beautiful property, the food and staff are warm and welcoming. The rooms are beautiful. They keep the property up, spray twice a day to keep the mosquitoes down. They also have complementary bug spray plug-ins for the walls. I didn’t like the garden villa bathroom/shower had a small opening to the outside. The pool villa was gorgeous and completely closed off. I like that better than the other villas with vents to the outside.. the pool water is cool not heated and my pool Villa must’ve been some kind of bird or animal on the roof because it kept dropping poop right in front of my pool villa. I did not like that but they cleaned it up every time. It sits on the hill maybe 10min from the market, construction 🚧 going on in the area so the roads were rough but I loved my stay there "
