"If you are sensitive to cigarette smoke, DO NOT stay here. My hubby and I got in too late to change hotels and thought it wasn't too bad. I could smell it on the pillows and everytime the AC kicked on. We both woke up with raw lungs and sore throats. There is confusion about the pet fee. It was posted at $15, they held $20 then finally charged $17 and some change. They do put at $50 hold on your credit card. The breakfast is very minimal: muffins, cereal, coffee. "The room was clean, the beds were great, the breakfast was really good. The elevators broke down not long after our check in. We were staying for 3 days. Staff informed us the maintenance person was on vacation and wouldn't be back for 5 days. One would think Holiday Inn Express would have some sort of back up plan. Most businesses would call a vendor or something in a situation like this rather than post a note on the elevator door for 5 days. Those stairs to the 4th floor got old real quick...

"starting with the positive: the water park. The only good part of this stay, which was so good it did make it worth the price but now I know to stay somewhere else and visit as a guest to avoid a lot of trouble. It was huge, transparent ceiling, relaxing hot "tub" which was actually like a junior version of a lazy river... Speaking of the lazy river, that soothed a special part of my brain.
