Room:
The rooms are dated are require renovation, but we were aware of this prior to booking the trip. The rooms were clean, but we did have a leak in our bathroom which was fixed fairly quickly by the staff.
Rooms have blackout curtains, but sunlight came through in the center and at the bottom making it difficult to sleep in.
Food:
The food was generally okay. I always appreciate an omelet bar and the bacon was good, so breakfast worked well for my needs. The lunch menus were hit and miss, with some meals being quite enjoyable; while others were not good at all. I appreciate that there was variety.
We did not eat dinner at the resort often and chose to go to local restaurants, but there was some type of entertainment each day.
Beach:
On our first few days, the beach was absolutely beautiful. The beach was clean and the waves were tolerable if you are comfortable in the water. The water became very choppy and the waves were dangerous for the last half of our trip, and there was a lot of seaweed which was not cleared from the beach. However, the neighbouring hotel has a wall in place that reduces the amount of waves that is accessible by guests at Turtlebeach.
Location:
The location was great in relation to the airport and St. Lawrence Gap area. We walked over to the Gap a few times for dinner which was a nice change from hotel food.
