"Staff helpful and friendly, breakfast was nice and enough choice for us, dinner was really nice and good value and the room was clean but just needed a bit of extra attention in the bathroom. But for the price paid and location we were more than happy."

Fish and chips were excellent, small portion plenty for each of us. A lovely place to stay, recommend read Daphne DuMauriers book. Great position to explore both coast lines. "

"Do not stay here. Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and the owner was incompetent - there was no apparent cause but for around an hour it kept tripping again so eventually I tried (without success) to sleep in my car. The hotel was dirty, no-one was available to help/serve breakfast etc, items such as milk in the kitchen fridge were out of date. It is a very old unmodernised property."

"I was told there was no hotel parking, only street spaces or in Port Isaac—a ten-minute walk away. Luckily, we parked nearby, but later found there was poorly signposted hotel parking with just eight spaces. Better communication would have helped. Parking in Port Isaac is pay and display, up a steep hill, so dropping off luggage first is wise. "A tidy and well-maintained place, conveniently located in the heart of the city. We stayed in the family room, which was spacious and comfortable, making for a very pleasant visit. The breakfast was enjoyable, with a great selection of delicious pastries."

"Mat and Wolfie made our stay at the Wellington wonderful! Both were helpful with suggestions for hikes and food. We had long conversations with each. The pub had a nice fire,and Wolfie was kind, hospitable, and intriguing. Mat helped us find the most perfect room as we were walkins arriving just before dinner. He told us stories and laughed and enjoyed our interest in the area. It was definitely one of our most favorite stays in the UK. The hotel is charming and a quintessential UK pub hotel....
