"The historic Inn is beautifully maintained and updated and provides a unique experience of staying in a home dating back to the 1600's. Breakfast was delicious and Megan the cook was welcoming and helpful. We always stay at the Black Walnut Inn when in Amherst!"

"This hotel is in a great location. The staff was nice and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. Quiet location even though it’s on the main road. There was a nice pool and small gym area and a cute outdoor sitting space that was enjoyable in the later evening. A small bar/breakfast area if you needed it. Great hotel for a night or two."

"The accessibility was excellent, with convenient access to most major retail stores and restaurants nearby. Breakfast was decent, but the food selection could have been better. The menu was pretty repetitive, with scrambled eggs served every morning and no boiled egg option available. I would definitely stay here again. The room was very clean, the service was excellent, and the location was convenient and accessible."

"We found the Inn while searching for a hotel for my son’s LAX tournament at UMass Amherst. It was a 20 min, easy drive and provided a quiet refuge from the hustle and bustle of the day! The room was well appointed and extremely clean. Loved the mill vibe and relaxing deck. The staff were extremely friendly and kind, letting us grab breakfast a few mins early as we had to be back at the field for Sunday morning. Would definitely recommend and stay again."

"The staff were great. The room was large and spacious. The bathroom was also large with a great shower. The back of the hotel was unkept and because of that there were a few bugs in our room. It was a good value for a quick stay just 2 nights. Free wifi and a large TV."

"Very clean, friendly hotel. Very comfy, great snacks and continental breakfast (not the yucky stuff from the 3 star chain hotels) We really enjoyed our stay and our puppies loved it there. They have a beautiful area that you can play ball or frisbee with or without your dogs. Can't say enough about this hotel. We stayed here for two days last week, one night at another hotel in town that's supposed to be the nicest (the other used to be the nicest, it no longer is. really fallen in amenities and...
