We spent a lovely weekend here. Rooms were wonderful and clean. The Hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. The meals at the restaurant were delicious. We like to thank Jenny & Emma for being so helpful and friendly During our visit.

Nice hotel with lovely staff

The staff are lovely and very accommodating. I requested a quiet room and was very happy with the room we were allocated. We only had breakfast at the hotel but it was very good.

Stayed one night on a solo trip. Lovely location and views. Rooms were comfortable and a good size. Clean and presentable. Best thing about the stay was the friendliness of the staff. Breakfast was a late addition for me and I'm glad I did. Good quality and choice.

Friendly and welcoming staff, excellent food, nice bar and dining room. We booked the deluxe room, the bed was huge! With steps to climb into it, it was very warm and comfortable. I felt the room was good value for money and would stay again.

Wonderful, friendly staff, lovely and clean, Hotel. My room was excellent, very spacious with a lovely view. The restaurant food was of good quality and fresh, the lady waitress was friendly and professional. I would say at this hotel again if I was local.

Early family Christmas

We stayed 2 nights, visiting family for a pre Christmas get together. And whilst we didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel, when we were there the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and warm and the breakfast excellent.

Lovely short stay at this gem of a hotel. The staff were all so friendly & really helpful throughout our stay. We were contacted beforehand to see if we wished to dine in on our arrival which was very handy. Lovely fresh food was most welcome after a long drive. The bedroom & bathroom were spotlessly clean. The staff were excellent. Very friendly, courteous and professional. We were here for my father's funeral and held his wake in the function room, and stayed overnight for two days. Nothing was too much trouble for the hotel who made a difficult time much easier to bear.

Reception was good. We were booked into room 5. The condition was tidy but in need of refurbishment. Bed not that comfortable. Not taken an evening meal. Breakfast was good Freshly cooked and tasty.

Overpriced.

We stay at this hotel as we travel from Wales to see family and it’s the only hotel in the area which accepts dogs. I really don’t mind the hotel for a quick overnight. It’s just okay. I do think it’s very overpriced for what it is. I have between 60 and 99 hotel nights a year and for this price have stayed in much nicer places. The hotel is very dated and a little unloved. It’s adequate as opposed to comfortable. I will say though the staff are always really friendly and nice which is a credit.

A bit penny pinching for deluxe

The hotel is lovely the staff are polite and chatty. The owner makes some lovely garden ornaments that are for sale and honey which is a nice touch. Our evening meal was delicious, our breakfast was small but tasty. We stayed in the deluxe room, which was lovely but being deluxe it would have been nice for it to have included bubble bath shampoo etc there was a body wash, but you really want bubbles in the bath. There was no dry rose wine only sweet they said the Zinfandel was dry but I could only buy a bottle it was Very sweet. The staff knew we were on honeymoon and didn’t even offer a complimentary drink, which kind of let them down a bit. That aside a lovely stay, but slightly over priced in my opinion.
