"Bed could be better."

"Delightful inn with clean, comfortable en-suite bedrooms, lovely bar / restaurant with cask ales and delicious meals, all supported by friendly, helpful staff."

"Big spacious rooms with enough room for a family of 4 in a room with 3 beds. Very clean and tidy and updated hotel. Bar on site was excellent, food was great...can get busy so book a table if you can."

"We arrived on a cold day and shown to our room ! The room was cozy and large bathroom with a large bath … ( A shower would have been more suitable ) We stayed for a pre - booked meal which was very tasty and warming too along with a lovely glass of house red wine . The dining experience was candlelit which set the scene! The breakfast provided was very nice with a selection of cereal and yogurts and fruit juice and bread for toasting with butter and jams together with tea coffee or hot...

"Lovely place and rooms were great. Some of staff didn’t know how to check us in It’s a pub, and luckily we had booked for food… the pub was very food dominated and wouldn’t have felt comfortable just drinking… food was good and place lovely though"

"+Clean room. Good location. Near stores and restaurants. Nice staff. Helpful. -Poor breakfast. No scrambled eggs. Profile shows they have luggage storage but once I have booked, I received message they haven’t one."

"This was a 3 night stay, with 11 other golfers, in the heart of Wantage, It is an old property in the town square. Rooms were small but adequate. Bathroom was well maintained and clean. (Nice towels). We dined there once and breakfasted three times. Food was good. Service was very professional and friendly. The bar was well stocked and lively whilst we were there. Only criticism was the hotel seemed very warm especially in the room. I had a fan and could open the window etc but it did not...

"Friday night sing along right below room. Cleaner not present all the time. Bathroom was across the hall and was cleaned once. Windows were single pane and one lock broken Breakfast was Friday to Sunday only and expensive for what you got."

"Primarily chosen as it was near to an event we were attending at the Nene Valley Railway (a short drive from the pub). We liked that the accommodation was in a separate building to the pub (although the pub was not loud). Good breakfast, evening meals, and friendly staff. We have a lovely walk around the village one evening, went back following day to try the local tea rooms but they closed early which was a shame. Will definitely stay here again"

"Plenty of parking, easy to check in and very courteous staff."

"This hotel exceeded our expectations. We stayed in The Bede room which was beautiful, cottage style in decor with the bathroom including whirlpool upstairs. We ate in the restaurant on our first night, food was excellent. There is are also great outdoor spaces. Hollie, the owner was the perfect hostess. This a lovely, pretty little village which also has another pub. This too has a restaurant and we ate there our second night; again the food excellent but very different to the Old White Hart. It...
