On the website, it shows that a shuttle service is available within 5 miles. After check-in, was told there was no shuttle service. That was one of my main reasons for booking this hotel. My room was by the elevators and one of the three squeaked. The hallway smelled like mildew. There's a chrge for breakfast, but it looked like day old gas station food. There was a bar, but no one was ever there to assist me. The bed was VERY comfortable and Stephanie and Danielle were very helpful. I chose this Holiday Inn due to it's prime location, which was walkable to everywhere I needed to go.

We were in Memphis to watch our grandson's college team play baseball at the Redbirds stadium. It is less than a 5 minute walk to the stadium. All the staff were great and helpful with our requests. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast consisted of cereals, juice, coffee, milk, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and french toast. It came with our room package and as good as it was, I would not have paid $15.00 for it.The hostess was very nice However, the air conditioning was not working in the lobby, diningroom, elevators, or the hallways. The water in the tub and sink was cold. Maintenance was not coming in for an hour. So, we turned the water on and let it run wide open. After at least 30 minutes, the water started to feel lukewarm and after 45 minutes it was finally hot. We would stay there again inspite of it taking so long for the water to get hot. My suggestion - check the water temperature immediately upon entering the room rather than in the morning. That way you can get maintenance on top of it.

The good: The Staff was one of the most friendly and helpful of the dozens of hotels in which I've stayed. They were absolutely terrific. The Bad: Ice machine on our floor wasn't working (or maintained). Worse yet, there was a leak in the bathroom in the floor above us, leading to a flood in our room. The staff was terrific in dealing with it (e.g., comping us a breakfast). This may have been an isolated incident, but combined with the ice machine I'm not quite sure. Overall, I would stay there again.
