"We needed a simple hotel to spend the night at before an early morning flight out of SJO. Hotel Mango served it's purpose and I would stay there again if I needed the same thing. The property was lovely and the staff very helpful. I wish the room would have had a few more things like a coffee maker or kettle, but again it was worth the price. Walked to Denny's for dinner and had fun at the Casino for a few hours also withing walking distance. Hotel is on a main road, so it was a noisy, but again...

"What an amazing find close to the airport! Edward was proactive in communicating and very hospitable. He picked us up at the airport and took us to our rental car the next day. Our room was spotless, spacious and minutes from the airport. We did not explore the area as we arrived late and left early the next morning. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if in the area. If you need an inexpensive clean room, this is the place to book. "

"I plan on returning. The hotel is nestled in the heart of San Jose, it's a huge property. I chose it for the decor/culture of Costa Rica. I swam in a pristine Olympic sized pool, I saw several iguanas, and I don't know how many bird species and in the ceiling of my room, what I thought was a mouse, was actually a bird nest with new hatchlings, which was a bit disturbing when I was sleeping. "Random paintings and plenty of blunt objects. The gym is hidden behind the laundry room and an abandoned speakeasy.
