"Situated near the station and at the top of the main drag, this hotel is in dire need of some tlc. They do appear to have a programme of renovations in hand, but our corner room had several cracked window panes and dated furnishings. The sink does not have a mixer tap, and the hot water is scalding, while there is almost no water pressure for the shower. "Check-in was quick and simple. Clean and spacious room with a good walk-in shower. However, the TV kept losing its signal which was rather annoying. Breakfast is a hot and cold self-serve buffet. The evening menu has a good variety of choices. On-site parking is limited and was full by about 16:00 on the two nights we stayed."

"Could use more usb ports in the room and a small refrigerator in the room would help. We think face cloths would be a nice addition"

"Large clean room with king size bed and seating area with TV, tea making facilities with fridge and large en suite. The room overlooks farmland. Breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked and the hosts were full of interesting information about the surrounding area."

"Great as always… Lovely staff, easy parking and check in. Restaurants within walking area but their restaurant/bar is perfect… 30second walk from the hotel. Quiet and safe as you have to tap the card twice at the front and then room. I really like this hotel and will be staying many more times over the summer. Thank you"

"Good location, huge carpark, comfy bed , very quiet rooms, and really good friendly helpful staff. Only downside in the room was the shower which was very weak. Breakfast wasnt great, £14 each for a buffet but the quality wasn't great but it's hard when you're massive catering like that I suppose. Overall a nice comfortable stay and we would use it again."

"Great location for a one night stay, clean room and very quiet which was lovely. The aircon was great and I asked for a room away from the room which was supplied. Troy on reception was amazing great customer services which is very rare. Would I stay again yes I used it for a nights stay after a great day at Jimmy’s farm. Car park was good and cost £7 for the whole time"
