I was asked if the third floor was ok. I said sure, we just want a quiet room because we are quiet people. The lady at the desk knew the multiple people with lots of children that were next to and across from us. I know this because she was in her socks and sitting and was eating breakfast with them the next morning.
The children were left in the room next to us with no adult in the room and had the security door bar across the door so that every time they went in and out the door banged very loudly. That was about every 30-60 seconds. For 3 hours. They were doing this until midnight (New Years Eve) until I came out of my room and asked them to use a towel to prop the doorway and also someone else had asked the manager to come up and tell them to be quiet because people were complaining. I don’t think the hotel was even near full. We should not have been put next to all of those kids. We are in our 70’s and did not plan on staying up until midnight. Very poor parenting of the mothers not even in the room with the kids. Very poor room choice by the desk lady when she obviously knew those mothers and kids.
