Good for overnight stay

Stayed one night after flying into Mexico city before taking the bus to San Miguel de Allende the next morning. Got a good nights sleep, which was all i needed. Hotel is two blocks from the mexico norte bus station so was a perfect location for me. Hotel porter actually took my luggage and walked the two blocks with me. Very nice! This is not a great location for seeing the city itself, however. Area is not particularly interesting and also not considered safe.

We picked this hotel for its proximity to the bus station which we were able to walk to about 2 short blocks away. Also because there was a restaurant on site for dinner when we got there. The beds were terribly hard and we woke up in pain the next day. We got in about 8 pm and were very hungry. The restaurant had plenty of seats but we were told they couldn’t accommodate us due to a couple of groups. There was a vending machine mostly empty. The front desk said they could have someone walk us to the bus station for food but that didn’t seem appealing after a full day of travel. Luckily we had brought nuts with us so we had that for dinner. It was poorly sound proofed and loud.
