"Very disappointed with our stay at Waterside Hotel and Suites. What was supposed to be a relaxing anniversary vacation turned into an uncomfortable and unsafe experience.
When we returned to our room around 10 PM, there was a person sitting directly outside our door. At first, we assumed she was waiting for someone in the neighboring room, but she ended up staying there all night, sleeping in the chair outside our room covered with a towel. My husband even woke up during the night to check if she had left, and she was still there. No guest should have to worry about safety issues like this while on vacation.
The next morning, we found cigarettes and beer cans left outside our door, making the area feel even more neglected and dirty. The overall cleanliness and upkeep of the property were disappointing and did not reflect what we expected from a hotel stay.
What made the experience even worse was the customer service. When I called the front desk to report the issue, the representative, Lorena, immediately asked if I had called the police instead of apologizing or showing any concern for our safety. There was no professionalism, empathy, or urgency to resolve the situation. It felt like the responsibility was being placed on us instead of hotel management handling security on their own property.
This experience was unacceptable. Poor security, lack of cleanliness, and terrible customer service made this one of the worst hotel stays we have had. I would not recommend stayin"
