"Great place...just well run!"

"We stayed here for a couple nights for a personal trip. The location is very good, easy to access from the highway and close to good services and restaurants in Janesville. The room is minimalist and small as you would expect from this chain, but comfortable enough and has the essential needed for a quick trip through the area. We did not try the free breakfast. Overall, I feel that this hotel offers pretty good value for the price that we paid, but there were a couple areas that could be improved. There was a lot of noise from neighbors on our first night - it seems the walls don't do a great job of blocking out noise from adjacent rooms and the highway which is close to the building. Also, the room felt a little aged and dingy, and did not have a sparkling clean feel."

"The staff were not friendly. The room was dirty, damaged, and sparse. The breakfast had no non-dairy options. The pool was initially closed until further notice. After I complained to Expedia the pool was magically opened. The pool area was dirty, including dirty tables, and there were no towels stocked. Definitely NOT choosing this hotel again."

"What a great hotel to stay at!!! All the staff I encountered were very friendly and answered every question I had. The room I was in was large and had everything you would want. The record player was a nice touch. Everything was clean, and I can't say enough good things about the Goodwin Hotel. Great time"
