This was a one night stay on the cheap and I got what I paid for. Parking is more than a block away--no parking on the premises. No shoes are to be worn in the facility so they appear scattered everywhere. The staff was friendly but I was not given the full tour/information on different aspects of my stay like parking. If you're looking for cheap then this is your place. I have stayed at other hostels and this one rated at the bottom of my list.
Good option for who is looking for the cheapest option to travel in the area, is a hostel with hostel environment but is honest, the bunk spaces work, but i just think this is not for me anymore, the money saved doesn´t pay for the extra effort. but if you like hostels or is on a budget, got for it

Nice cozy 9 day ski trip
Had a great time at this place. The owners are very nice and so are the people that work there. Beds were nice and comfy. Everything you need. I would definitely go there again. Shuttle to Vail is only early in the morning and comes back around 4-5:30pm or so. I had a rental car and took a lot of Ubers. But that’s just me. I like to stay in Vail late night. Town of Minturn has a nice saloon, a breakfast place and some other nice spots in walking distance.
This place worked very well with my plans to visit with some friends in Vail, CO. The staff was friendly and the place was VERY clean. The bunks provide enough privacy for a restful night. The town is very quaint and friendly as well.
Always a great stay at The Bunkhouse. The staff is welcoming and courteous, and the property is clean and comfortable. The bunks are very well made. A great option in the Vail Valley!
Hostel staff are very friendly and helpful, flexible w special requests as long as no impact to other guests or their operations. Very clean in all areas from kitchen to common area to bathroom and dorm area. Phenomenal location, walkable within downtown minturn. Dorm beds are the best I’ve seen for a hostel (and I’ve stayed in many in US, Europe, Asia, Central America etc) as they are exceptionally private and separate w a small curtain allowing access that would help w noise, lights, etc. Only real complaint (beyond price - the most expensive dorm bed I’ve ever booked...but par for the course during high season in the area I suppose) is combo minimal secure storage (w your own lock, a lockable large drawer under the bed) and offsite parking in a non-secure lot short drive from an I70. Supposedly, there has never been a breakin, but as I’ve learned multiple times through my life, that is always true until its not (w first hand experience to back it up) and the pandemic has created hardship for some. This lack of secure indoor storage would also make it tough to dry out clothing/gear after outdoor activities on storm days. Again though, if you travel light or are unconcerned about drying out gear or theft and are flexible timing wise w working within the kitchen (nice but somewhat small if Bunkhouse is fully occupied I would think), then this place is a great option! Finally, while I dislike the “no outside alcohol” policy, I love that they recycle AND COMPOST!
LOVE this place. Turns out I'm not really into Vail itself, but going to the Bunkhouse made my trip. The staff is exceptionally friendly and I'd go back just to spend time with them.
Vail is a very expensive place to sleep. The Bunkhouse is very close to Vail and easy to park at, In general the Bunkhouse is very welcoming but the space you sleep in is small. Highly recommended for people pn a budget.
Great location! This was my first "real" hostel experience and was quite fun. The bunk was comfortable and cozy. Great place for a good nights rest before a ski or hike.
Always clean and easy. A good night sleep before skiing. Great location to Vail or Beaver Creek. Provided ear plugs do the trick, wish more hostels were as simple and easy as The Bunkhouse. Nice staff. Parking is off site, but once you know where it is - super easy. Enough food options/bars in town. Great for getting up early and hitting Vail or Beaver Creek first thing (quick drive to either).

There was no soap in the bathrooms. People were talking all night in the hallways.
Good clean hostel. It was definitely the most expensive hostel I’ve ever stayed in but considering it was more than half the price of anything in the region Christmas week, it’s a demand issue. Very comfortable pods with privacy screens, lights, lockers, & surprisingly super warm blankets. Only complaint is the hallways started to smell like a locker overnight probably from everyone’s sweaty ski gear :)
Only tip for the management: don’t charge $2 for tampons as a luxury good, making them more than a candy bar in the same vending machine. That doesn’t seem to be in line with your messaging.
I thought The Bunkhouse had a unique charm. The staff was very friendly. I enjoyed having the privacy of an enclosed bed. Minturn is a very cute town with a few shops and restaurants. Kitchen area was nice.
My stay was a great experience. The staff was friendly and helpful. The common rooms and bathrooms were clean and cozy. I would gladly stay here again. Perfect for affordable accommodations close to Vail
