"Super freundliche Dame an der Rezeption. Tolles Gespräch nach einem anstrengenden Tag. Zimmer war OK. Typisches einfaches Hotelzimmer. Die neuen Deluxe Zimmer sehen deutlich besser aus, waren den Aufpreis für eine Nacht aber nicht wert für mich. Frühstück war OK. Mein Tipp: Leckere frische Bananen. Das Gym war zwar mit mehr Geräten ausgestattet als das man von einfachen Hotels gewöhnt ist, war aber auch arg in die Jahre gekommen. Auch war alles in ein kleines Zimmer gequetscht. "What they are serving is not a breakfast but the output of the chemical industry! It is presented as "continental breakfast" but has nothing to do with it. The rest of the hotel is just OK. The bathroom was quite old and you need a refresh as well."

"The property is at the Dana Point Harbor. One side has a view of the parking lot, the other side a view of the boaters’ parking lot and boats in the harbor. It’s a nice hotel for a short stay, nothing fancy but nice location and within walking distance of Proud Mary’s for a great breakfast and Wind and Sea for a nice Happy Hour or dinner."

"The name “Hotel Avenida” is a scam. This is actually a Rodeway inn renamed as a hotel. The front attendant told me that the owner changed the name from Rodeway inn to Hotel Avenida because it would be”better for business”. I don’t even know if that legal but might as well book a motel 6 if you’re looking to book a cheap motel. The rooms weren’t new either the pictures are deceiving. "After checking in, I found out that the hotel description was inaccurate. For example, the hotel does not have a pool or a gym as advertised. Then, when it was time to check out, the staff falsely accused me of taking alcohol from the minibar."
