"Great location if Kumamoto is your priority. Also, it is located in a cool area of Kumamoto with record stores, used clothing store, a lot of night life, and some awesome off the beaten path and upcoming restaurants. The room I had was dated, but that added to the vibes in many ways. Didn't drink there, but the El Dorado club looked old school - like Vegas 1970s but updated somehow. I would go back to work through some Sochu. Overall, great place for the price."

"It was our first time booking a room with a washing machine and dryer to ourselves! It was convenient and the dryer was much more effective than the shared ones we have used in other hotels and air bnbs. You don’t have to air dry the clothes much after taking it out. It was good to have the microwave and kettle within reach as well. We appreciate the amenities provided at the lobby, there was a good range of teas and it was fun trying them out. The room was clean and well equipped. One tip: get the ear plugs from the lobby and use them to block out the sound of the railway tracks. It’s highly effective! "

"Breakfast not offered in hotel but in restaurant 2 floors below the Lobby. Quality of food on offer 3 stars or below. We paid over $330 per night for a small room, old furniture, old carpets and mattresses on beds almost as hard as lying on bricks. This hotel in NO WAY deserves a 9.4 rating. We were very disappointed with the quality of this hotel. The only exceptional feature of this hotel was the staff. My advice is AVOID this hotel. "

"Free canned alcohol drinks in the room fridge. The shower, sink and toilet is separate and very spacious. There are nuts, hot/iced coffee, beer, cold water, and microwave in the lobby free to use. Luggage to be held at hotel before checkin and check out is ¥550 per item. Early checkin is ¥700. The hotel is very strict to the check in time. Many customers were sitting at the lobby waiting for the 1600 check in time."
