"The location was the BEST! Walking distance to the everything in Casco Viejo and the waterfront. Excellent (but expensive) restaurant on the rooftop. WiFi was good. Room was nicely appointed, lots of pillows, awesome A/C. "

"There was an issue with the air in the room and the mini fridge (Sunday night). Maintenance checked, changed the filter, and performed other tasks in the ceiling. The next day (Monday), Deanna(hope the spelling is correct) called, and we went to check out another room, but it was the same. She was very apologetic and assured me she would get me another room. The staff brought some chocolate-covered strawberries. Tuesday when we came from our excursion, the front desk called(Tiffany) and we were moved to a much cooler room. She also left my mom's birthday cake and fruit. The bellman helped move our things. Thanks Deanna and don't desk staff...... Side note: The reason you did not receive five stars. Please talk to the young man who served our table (36)at the restaurant by the pool on Wednesday at 7:42pm. He needs to be aware that tipping is optional and that it depends on his service. Our total for two Linguine and a Cesar salad was about $49.54. We paid $50 cash, and he made a big deal because he did not receive a tip. My mom ended up giving him a $5 tip because he was making a big deal. We have no problem tipping if you deserve it and earned it ask the bellman, he received a $10 tip. I left a note on the receipt for him. Please let him know tipping is not mandatory it's the customer's money and discretion. His service did not qualify for a tip. ....... Other than that, all is well. "

"My birthday at Hotel La Compañía was nothing short of extraordinary, and truly one of the most memorable hotel experiences I’ve had. "Huge 2 bedroom suite with kitchen. Provided coffee for coffee maker and pods for nespresso maker. Also provided bottled water and milk. Although we did not cook kitchen appeared to have everything one would need. Very clean. Only suggestion is if you are staying over a weekend you may want to bring earplugs. The Saturday night parties were happening all around. Sunday it was quiet."

"The bedding was superb. The apartment was large and comfortable. The front desk staff, Neris especially, were super helpful and friendly. The kitchen could have had more cooking implements, but we didn’t ask for more, which may have been available. We would have liked more housekeeping, but we didn’t ask and it was as described as being light. We appreciated the availability of clean towels midweek. The location was very convenient and we felt safe. The restaurant downstairs had excellent service and the breakfast was delicious. "

"Good location but property is fairly run down in poor condition. Biggest problem is the staff who can not communicate at all in anything other then Spanish which is a big negative if it is trying to grow tourist business. Elevator is over used and very busy with non residents using it to go to rooftop bar that it becomes a big inconvenience for residents trying to go tonthir rooms having to wait for throne for a long time especially at night or late evenings. If one would have an alternate choice of hotels to look into that it worthwhile to check what is out there before booking this hotel since there are so many small boutique hotels in Casco Viejo to look at for foreign tourists."
