"Issues about the room Open the door - strong musky smell even with the window open. On arrival in the room I had to remove 5 spiders (each in different corners of the room) aswell as several cobwebs. Carpet had a massive stain upon entering the room which probably added to the musky smell. Room uninviting and very small for double. Décor was 1970's styled, looking incredibly dated. Bath had large scattered spots of paint so you certainly wouldn't bath in it. Can’t shave as there’s no plug in...

"Reported toilet not flushing before we went out for dinner, staff said they would fix it while we were out, come back not fixed had to phone again they tried again unsuccessfully and only then offered different room this was 9 o'clock in the evening. Think this could have been handled net"

"The hotel was lovely, and Linda & Des were VERY welcoming and accommodating. They have a little “shop” where you can buy toiletries, wine, drinks, crisps, snacks etc which was very convenient. The breakfasts were AMAAAAZING - lots of options! The only down side was the water was not hot and the water pressure in the shower was low."

"Breakfast was very good with lots of choice . Room was fine but TV quite big for the size of the room. Shower very small. Lovely decor and bar staff and waitress very helpful. Nice being able to use the sauna. Pool and hot tub not yet in use "

"We recently stayed at The Ocean View Hotel from 13th–15th February and unfortunately were very disappointed with our experience. We chose this hotel specifically because of the facilities advertised on the website, including a swimming pool, bar, coffee shop, evening dining, jazz club with cocktail bar, and the daily “Happy Hour” promotion. "Booked this hotel as last minute, I come to the island often to visit my dad so this was first time staying somewhere different. Set up more like a b&b than an actual hotel though. John the owner was lovely showed us to our room, and even made sure I knew the code to get back in through the main door. He made us breakfast each morning we were there too which was nice. Only thing id say, is that there was no tea bags or coffee / cups to go with the kettle in the room so had no use being there....
