Macrae's Monument. A-Listed Building renovated in 2001. From 1725 to 1731 James Macrae was Governor of Madras where he made his fortune. A nice, clean place to stay. Only issue was the bed which could do with a new mattress as this was very uncomfortable to sleep on. Everything else, including location was spot on. Would definitely use again if mattress is replaced.
