"Good value hotel in the centre of Cumnock. Room 5 was large with a sofa. Bed comfortable and fan in room which was needed whilst the UK was in the midst of a heatwave. Staff were very friendly especially in the restaurant. Small hotel parking area but on road and free parking nearby if full."

"I moved to this hotel because they told me they had a working fan and a view of the sea with adequate sea breeze to cool off the room. The room was extremely warm and the fan did not work very well and I had to stay there for two nights with an extremely warm room also the the hotel is a bit rundown and the carpet in the room had stains."

Only couple of issues, I filled in online the “pre checkin” form to save time (hotels words not mine). But when I got to reception I had to complete it again. Iron in the room was all sticky too. "The room was very hot. There was only a thick duvet on the bed, so if you’re like me (I need to be covered when I sleep) it was extremely uncomfortable. Also, no fans provided to cool down the room. A second issue were the toilets. In order to fully flush the toilet (which is required when travelling) you had to pull the handle past 45 degrees with quite a bit of pressure. "Have been before to this boutique hotel and the standard has never failed. Guy on reception was friendly and pleasant. Advised that food wasn’t available atm in the hotel but that he would telephone two down at the Seamill Hydro Hotel for dinner and gave us a voucher for breakfast at same hotel. Dinner booking was abit late for us so declined and went elsewhere. The breakfast was lovely at the Hydro. Hotel was nice and warm, room and bathroom spotless. Would return and recommend to others"
