"Sonesta Select Tinton Falls Eatontown CANCELLED my reservation. They did not have my credit card or phone number on file (because I have never stayed there before and booked through Expedia) so they just cancelled my reservation. I found out when I arrived at the hotel at 10pm. The employee at the desk apologized, said they had no rooms available, and told me to call Expedia. But Expedia didn't cancel my reservation, SONESTA DID!!! They did not take any responsibility for my situation and did not offer any compensation."

"Excellent hotel. Staff was wonderful. We had breakfast daily and the food and restaurant staff were amazing. The hotel is a little older, but updated. Has the atrium and interior spaces you don’t see with newer hotels. Great stay!"

"Great location for access to Newark airport, Jersey shore, Hoboken and downtown Manhattan. Would highly recommend especially for a weekend stay since it appears to be primarily a 'corporate' hotel."

"If I could give this place a -5 I would. We had two rooms as we were a group of 7. Absolutely no towels for either room even after asking for them countless times. We were told they didn’t have any.. one of our rooms didn’t have a working A/C for the first two days finally was fixed for the last night. "

"I was less than impressed with this stay. My friend and I had booked this hotel on Expedia because their description said it had shuttle service to the airport for free. Upon arrival to Newark international, we called to double check and the hotel said they don't offer that service at all, which made travel to the property unexpectedly expensive for us. We eventually got to the property but it was not well maintained. There were stains on the walls, caution tape by the elevator and our room was scary with how many dirty stains there were on the furniture. The bed springs squeaked with the slightest movement of the beds. The entire vent was hanging off the wall. I went down to the front desk to ensure they weren't going to charge my incidental for the appearance of the room. The staff was friendly and ensured me I wouldn't be since it seemed to be something maintenance failed to attend to. The facility claims it is nonsmoking but the hallway and room smelled of cigarettes and marijuana. As an asthmatic, that was troublesome. Overall, I will not be staying here again. Luckily, our layover was only 6 hours long so we were at the hotel for only 4 hours that night."
