"A beautiful property with some very thoughtful and high end finishes. However, it is evident in some areas that design has won in favour of functionality - the stairs, chairs in dining areas and limited clothes hanging space. "Can't say enough about the Olive. Joao, and Sophia were the best. When we got lost, and frustrated, trying to find it, Joao asked where we were, said "stay there, I'll come to you", and he did. Then they upgraded our room, and gave us a discount coupon for dinner. Then he mapped out all the sights within walking distance. The breakfast was very good, and we really enjoyed the pool. The staff turned a sour day into a great stay."

"What an amazing hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly, our room was large, and very clean, but the real star of the show is the stunning castle itself. There are so many areas to explore. Sitting rooms, the chapel, a pool table room, and the outside pool area is from a fairytale. It’s like going back in time. We felt like royalty. 100% recommended."

The beds were comfortable to sleep in, and the staff was very kind and helpful, but my main complaint is definitely the smell in both the room and washroom. The floors also didn’t seem very clean; our socks turned completely black from walking around. Unfortunately, I had to leave...
