Staff was polite and courteous, but the room has cochraches, you can see them at the bathroom counter, bedside tables, even during the day. And that is disgusting. Overall the hotel need an upgrade, too old.

I have stayed at this hotel before. I like the area because its right across from Macroplaza. Easy courtesy parking, walkable, shopping and dining options galore. The hotel itself is fine but it is somewhat run down, management needs to pay attention to that.

Hotel monterrey macroplaza is walking distance to paseo santa lucia and barrio antiguo plenty of restaurants around the area. We did not like that the showers would clog up and roaches in rooms. We got the breakfast buffet included but its not worth it horrible service and food was poor quality

The hotel is being renovated in the lobby and some areas, to these took good, but the rooms need to be renovated. The second night they gave me a better room. Rooms are clean are clean but carpets and furniture and old. I will suggest just to renovate these.

Convenient but needs updates

The staff were friendly and helpful. However, facilities needed some fixes and updates. My first room had a leak under the bathroom sink. The replacement room had a toilet that was lopsided and needed to jiggle the handle so it doesn't keep running. The shower didn't have any place to put the soap and other toiletries. I think it fell off before and wasn't replaced. The AC and heat can run for hours but is very load so you can't really hear the TV or talk on the phone with it on. But it was centrally located and very good for logistics

The stay started off bad. Paid for a high end room and was put in one that the bed barely fit in there. We had to step aside of each other to move around the room. Paid for breakfast to be included and front desk said it didn’t show and we would have to check the next morning. After we went down to complain front desk said that was a superior room. Told him I wouldn’t take it and to move us. Was then changed to a 2room suite that was spacious. If I hadn’t complained we would have been stuck in a 12x12 room. The young lady at front the next day was very pleasant and accommodating. She found our breakfast passes right away and she was really the best both Saturday and Sunday morning. I will probably stay there again but will ask first if we are getting what we really paid for.
