We enjoyed our stay at Rancho de Lelo. The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and friendly. They booked activities for us in Monteverde and recommended a great restaurant. The breakfast was quick and fresh. It was a pretty property though we didn’t get to explore much as we spent most of our time up in Monteverde.

This property was amazing. It was serene and peaceful. The owners are truly welcoming they treat you like your family. It is run fby Family , and it truly shows and how they take care of their guest. There are knowledgeable and accommodating when offering suggestions and activities in the area. Our family of four stayed in one room. It had proper accommodations for all of us. Breakfast was made every morning and it was delicious. Highly recommend going to the area to stay this hotel

Nice spot. Great view. One of the cheaper places to stay in Monteverde. Free breakfast is a bonus and they have a pool you can use anytime. The host was friendly and helpful. You do get a few small insects in the room but not many. It is a bit in out of the way so you want a vehicle if you're staying there.

Very peaceful spot! The hosts are very kind and welcoming, and offer good support on how to get around the area and what to do. Don’t be afraid of the road in — it’s very manageable. Breakfast was delicious! Just be aware that it is not in town or walkable to restaurants, etc (20 min drive), but the cabins have a fridge and the hosts generously allow use of the kitchen with microwave, etc. We loved our stay — thank you Beatriz and family!

Rancho de Lelo is located about a 30-minute drive from Monteverde, in the peaceful village of San Luis. The ranch is family-run by Lelo and his three adult children, which creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere throughout the property. The staff are exceptional, and the breakfasts are both generous and delicious. It’s an ideal place to unwind in the evenings after a day of exploring Monteverde and the surrounding area. This is an excellent choice for families. The cabins are thoughtfully designed, offering both comfort and privacy. We stayed in a unit with two separate bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom, as well as a shared kitchen and living space—perfect for traveling with children. The mountain views are beautiful, and the night sky is spectacular, making it a memorable place to relax and connect with nature. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.

Where to start!! If I could leave 7 stars I would! The hosts are the kindest, most helpful devoted hosts you could hope for! Not only did they greet me with amazing tips to get around, their family history is just amazing! It felt like it was a privilege to be staying on their land! Rancho de Lelo is a wonderful place to stay if you’re looking for peace and nature. The warm welcome (including a beautiful welcome package) and family atmosphere made our visit especially enjoyable. Our cabin sits in the mountains and is surrounded by beautiful gardens with lots of flowers, tropical vegetation, and coffee trees. The room is spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. We were welcomed by Natalia and Beatriz with a delicious food basket. The breakfasts were healthy and very yummy. Beatriz introduced us to the attractions and even a local soccer game. Since my boys are huge soccer fans, we made the effort to drive back to watch the game, which was one of the highlights of our entire trip! Highly recommended!

The room was larger and nicer than the pictures; it is about 20’x20’. The setting is very picturesque, tranquil, and I loved it. The problem is the road to get here which is very bad, mostly no pavement for about 5 miles. This dirt road has ups, downs, and curves with potholes. It took me 20 minutes to drive a 5 miles road. You need a high clearance car for this road. If it rains, you might need a 4 wheel drive. Besides the road to get there, everything is great. Wonderful hosts and setting.
