FRAUD!

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! We were visiting Morristown for a family wedding. We made our reservations at this hotel in January 2023 and paid by credit card at that time. When we arrived at the hotel, we were informed by the front desk lady that they would not accept the rate that was listed on hotels.com. They said that Econolodge rejected the price and cancelled our reservation. (I had called Econolodge 2 hours before we checked in to confirm our reservation and they confirmed the reservation.) We were offered rooms at a higher rate and would have to pay for them. They did not offer us a refund. I have called Hotels.com and have asked for a refund for the cancellation that the HOTEL did. Hotels.com told us that the manager of Econoloadge would not issue a refund. This place scams people out of money. I'm sure this constitutes FRAUD! They gave us a print out on their stationary that stated that I cancelled the reservation on May 31, 2023 (which is not true.). If I had cancelled the reservation on May 31, 2023, it still would have been before the June 6, 2023, which was the cancellation date without penalty. This is the worst place that we have ever dealt with.

Horrid! Do not stay here

Our room was filthy! Trash still in garbage. Used q-tip in bathroom. Obviously not cleaned. Smoked in when we requested non smoking. Paper thin walls. Barely slept at all due to the filth. Sheets were disheveled underneath the comforter. Showered with shoes on and still felt disgusting after. Absolutely horrid! We thought we could tough it out. We would've been better off sleeping in our car.

My only complaint was the noisy air unit not to mention it didn't cool well at all other than that issue it was a great stay.

First Stay was Better

My wife and I stayed in this motel in 2011 and were satisfied. This stay had disappointing breakfasts and poor maid service. However, after addressing the maid service issue, we were satisfied with the cleanliness of our rooms. There was no internet service.

Nice stay

The room was very clean. The breakfast was just ok. It needed fresh fruit. There wasn't enough parking near entrances but were still plenty overall. The ice machine had a leak so they shut it off at night so there was no ice in mornings. Overall it was a good experience. The problems were minor ones. The fact that the room was clean and cleaned daily were the most important things to me.

Awful! Toilet was stopped up, located in no wheresville, and a very scary place!!! Very disappointed!

The hotel staff were pleasant and the room was clean. The accommodations were minimal, but for ~$50/day, who can complain?

i would stay here again.

i got off I-40 and booked this room. It ended up being 21 away from the interstate in Morristown, TN. Guess I didn't't notice that when I booked it. When I got there the place was not at all well lit and it looked empty. The computers were down so they didn't have access to my reservation but booked me in anyway. The room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint was a very noisy air conditioner. It was late. I was tired. I didn't complain. It was 50 bucks.

What I look for when I travel are: a clean room; a comfortable bed; a good breakfast. This hotel met all three expectations. It's a little outdated. If you want more than than a decent hotel room, there are hotels down 11E that will cost you a whole lot more.

We asked for a Non-Smoking room and the room they gave us smelled like cigs and had 2 ashtrays in the room. The price was right for what we needed. Staff was friendly. The location was great. We would stay again...

Is that really a queen size bed?

Hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The room was on the second flood and I had requested a first floor room. Found the room to be nothing great. The reservation said queen size beds but is actually full size. The room looked to be clean.... But after a quick check for bed bugs (none found) and over all cleanliness I found a sock left from a previous guest. No problem just tossed it in the trash. Overall experience.... an inexpensive and quite place to stay.
