"The hotel is about 40 minutes walk from the centre of Annecy, which is fine as its more relaxing to base myself rather than in the hub of the old town. Also theres not any shops so youll need to get stuff in the town.
There isnt a fridge which is much needed due to lack of shops. So i had the buffet breakfast there as there werent any cafes nearby. The buffet had plenty of croissants, citus fruits, meats, cheeses, cereals, breads and cakes. So it is a fair price for €15.
The room is small but i did have a glimpse of the lake. There are blinds that have an electric switch to turn them on/off. Cleaniness could have been better - blinds were dirty as were heater rails.
Receptionist was lovely and very helpful.
All in you stay for the view and being close to the lake.

Splendid Hotel Lac d'Annecy - Handwritten Collection
8/10 Good
"We stayed in a basic room looking over the back. Front facing rooms are premium and overlook the lake.
Room was ok. Cleaned every day and Nespresso coffee machine was a bonus.
The mattress protector was poor and caused issues sleeping on a night.
I can’t comment on food as we did not eat in the restaurant but drinks in the bar were fine and reasonable price."
"Luxurious hotel with attentive staff in a wonderful location. Close enough to enjoy Annecy but far enough away to feel tranquil and relaxing. My only negative is that we weren’t given any information at check in and there are some hidden extras - for example breakfast is not included in the price and is €25 per person per day, we were not told this in advance and so the €150 on our room at the end of the stay was a bit of a shock. To park in the hotel car park is also extra although you can park for free on the road. "
"Just a lovely place to be. Within walking distance to the park and old town. Would recommend this hotel for sure. And please reserve Bon Bec for dinner. Amazing"
"We loved the kitchenette in the room. It made it easy to make drinks and we used the microwave and fridge. The room was clean and convenient for a good night's sleep. The hotel was large but quiet. It is about 40 minutes walk from the centre which was okay but there are also buses from close to the hotel which makes it easier. For the price, a very good basic hotel with everything you need for a stay."
"Ideally located within a short walk of the train station, the hotel is clean with comfortable beds and spacious bath rooms. Also <5 minute walk to old town sites and 10 minute walk to the lake. Good breakfast offering included. Staff courteous at checkin/check out and helpful with questions about the neighborhood. Highly recommend."
"Super studio pour 3-4 personnes avec chambres separées et cuisinette. Nous avons adoré ce studio très bien situé pres de la vieille ville d Annecy. Personnel très aidant qui est venu dans notre chambre nous montrer comment fonctionnait la cuisinière. Expérience de location très positive."
