Nice area, in general, very upscale. Convenient to Isle of Palms beach area. Down side is the amount of traffic and congestion that has come with Mt Pleasant's popularity. Plan extra time if you want to drive anywhere.

We are originally from Somerville so we know Mount Pleasant and Mount Pleasant is a great place to stay for access to Charleston and as much more affordable. You also have access to pharmacies and retail stores.

Mount Pleasant is a very nice and quiet town. It has all of the conveniences that you could look for, and it's also not far from Charleston. It's also easy to get to the beach from there.

Very nice place, close to beaches and tourist activities- but hard to navigate the way the frontage roads and streets are confusing- cant find anything until you pass it from all the trees/low signage. I think Google even got lost a few times

This area of Mount Pleasant is busy, especially during peak 'rush' hours and has restaurants, grocery stores, etc., but it was easy to get around for the most part. A great alternative for staying near Charleston.
