Motel needs a serious upgrade

Water leaking around the toilet, blue dye I. The toilet looked like they cleaned the shower with it. Room smelled like an out house. Bed spread and shams dirty floors looked dirty as well.

Fine for a quick sleep

It was fine for a quick night. Very dated . Staff was fine . It was a alittle sketchy with other patrons. Would not have stayed if husband was not with.

We were in this room for 2 nights. The beds are small and close to the floor. Not comfortable at all. The police were called both nights for people staying there below us. We did not get very much sleep. The headboard was off the wall and just laying on floor. We had to pick it up and move it out of the way. Hopefully it will be fixed for the next customer.

This was a suite so it had better beds than the other rooms. There were people staying in the downstairs.... up most of the night fighting constantly. Smell of smoking in our room constantly when it was a non smoking room. The police were call 2 of the 3 nights we were there. Very uncomfortable situation.

Friendly staff, motel facility tired & worn.

We were in town for a funeral, so this location was convenient. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Unhappy!

We stayed for three nights. The stay wouldn't have been so bad if the motel hadn't been overbooked. We were lucky to get any room even though the room had been paid for two months. Therefore, my son and I were stuck in a smoking room because it was the only room. We could hardly stand the smell and tried to stay out of the room for as long as we could. The shower handle broke off, but management was prompt in fixing it. We stay at Mountain Grove for the Spring Planting Festival every year for three nights. We would stay at an alternative facility next year when we come.

Not what we expected

This motel was overbooked and we did not get the room that we had reserved. We reserved a non-smoking room with king bed and were assigned a smoking room with double beds. Mattress seemed very old and worn out - not any real support - just rolled to the middle.

NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Horrible experience. Double charged for room (although fixed quickly), half of the electrical outlets didn't work, TV didn't get signal, management got room numbers switched on their system and left notes on my door to go speak with them everyday but one because of their mess up. Room key cards were deactivated because they messed up the dates of our stay on our room. Will never stay there again and DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANYONE!!!

Never again

You get what you pay for so to speak, but being double charged, electric outlets that don't work, a TV that didn't get signal, room reservations were messed up from beginning and continued through trip, heater/ac that didn't really work are all things that frankly you shouldn't have to deal with when trying to just get away and relax. Place was nothing but headaches from the start and I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Work for sleeping

It needs major updates. Some electrical sockets didn't work. No plats on electric or where falling apart. Walls are thin.

Quick Trip to Missouri

Front desk was very nice. Room showing its age. Toilet sits so close to wall it's uncomfortable. Was up late trying to get to sleep.... housekeeping started bothering us at 8 am. Came to room three times. Once walked in before we could get to door. It was THREE HOURS before checkout time.

Updates Needed

Not clean-- floors sticky, outlets in room don't work, toilet didn't flush well. The free breakfast was minimal.

Don't Do it!

Our "non-smoking" room smelled so badly of smoke that I couldn't sleep. The mattress might as well have been a concrete block. The toilet didn't flush and the room was dirty. We found old room keys, socks and condom wrappers on the floor. It was just gross! You would be better sleeping in your car. Like another reviewer said, just make the drive and stay in Springfield!

Room was clean enough to rate a 4 but gave a 3 based on condition of bedding. I realize a smoking room will have a 'spot' here and there but, the Comforter/Bedspread was riddled with cigarette burns. I don't smoke in my own house and WILL NOT light up in a bed....anywhere. Wish others wouldn't.

It was a last-minute stay the room was very clean everything was very nice but the heater did not work it was very cold in the room it said it was on 90 but it was not.

Nice enough staff and facilities but...

The check in was a little restrictive because we could not change anything on the reservation. The rooms were clean but in need of major repairs. There was a torn carpet, mold on the walls and nails sticking out of the baseboard in one room. In another room there were missing light bulbs, light and fan that was not working and a drain that was partially plugged in the sink. The last room had heating issues it was either way to warm or there was no heat at all. Fortunately we are from the country and can adjust.
