", very pricey for such an old hotel with paper thin walls you could hear everything from the rooms on each side and outside, also the fire department was literally right behind the building so sirens all night long were not pleasant"

"Very nice. Spacious rooms and quiet. The staff was very friendly. Lots of hotel areas to relax. Loved the rocking chairs on the entrance porch and balconies…something that is missing from the Gatlinburg of today. When we 1st started coming, the town was full of rocking chairs. The place is very historical. We loved our stay."

"The hotel is faceless. We somehow learnt that when we teached there at 2 am and were hunting for reception(which doesn’t exist). The room number and access code were sent out in an sms which was sitting in my unknown folder. I would have preferred an email on the same. The priperty is nice and convenienly located. But its a very small property Breakfast - for the hefty price, you get a a grab and go breakfast which was not below par. There is no one to talk to in the restaurant to refill...

"The location is the most important thing that made some of the other negative issues more tolerable. Parking garage is ROUGH to park 3 vehicles side by side especially if other drivers aren’t considerate of others. Our room had been updated and hallways were as well. Bathtub had stains and ceiling was old ragged looking. Had to make 3 calls to maintenance which they responded and handled issues but frustrating to call. No lightbulbs in one light. Sink stopped up. Other lamps didn’t work...
