"Very nice! Staff was very friendly & helpful. Room was spacious & comfortable & we always like the roomy bathrooms. Breakfast areas was better than many hotels. First floor was under renovation, but never disturbed us. When we travel we usually look for a Hampton Inn & this one was just what we needed."

"Nothing unique about the Super8 in Muscatine,IA. The desk clerk had to be found when we got there-took about 20 min. Then he was hard for my husband to understand when trying to check in. Only room available was a 2 bed one, not a real problem but why doesn’t Expedia communicate with the motel you book with? They had no idea of cost, room, nothing. Thankfully I had our online confirmation!"

"The outside looks great but once I opened the door to our room we were greeted with the strong horrible smell of cat urine!!!! Had to use half the bottle of dawn air freshener to get the room to a tolerable smell. The tv in the bedroom only had 4 working channels and the tv in the living room had no working remote! Pool was great and will stay for breakfast maybe I’ll add another review if it’s great if not won’t be another review."

"Unfortunately, this was one of the least enjoyable hotel stays we’ve had. The room appeared old, poorly maintained, and not very clean. The pillowcases looked worn and stained, the carpet felt dirty, and several of the bed linens were torn. The bathroom was especially disappointing. The shower had visible rust, and the water never became more than lukewarm. "Breakfast wasn’t great - no toaster and ‘fake’ eggs and protein. The mattress was really hard - like an old coil spring and the frame was metal and made a ton of noise. Barely any blankets. The room felt very damp. It was clean so but otherwise not the most comfortable stay."

"The 1st thing you notice when entering to check in is that the place smelled like cigarette smoke. I guess they still allow smoking in the casino. Fortunately, I couldn't smell it in the room. The room had a mini-fridge that I used for leftovers, but there was no place to reheat them. I had to take them to the front desk to have them heat them up for me in the back. "Clean rooms and well kept up"

"The age of this hotel shows. A fresh coat of paint and some minor fixture repairs would go a long way. Helpful staff added a lot to the stay. The free breakfast was OK, not great."

"No pool, no fitness room. Missing door between room in suite, toilet kept running until you take cover off tank, had to put input on tv everytime you turned it off."

"We stop here at least once a yr in our travels. This year it was not a great experience. The room smelled of dog pee and carpet was stained in all major walkways. The room was very humid maybe because right next to the pool area. The breakfast was typical except the waffle machine was broke and didn't show time so waffles ended up burnt. We went to restaurant next to property for breakfast."

"The staff was super friendly. The room was clean and the property was conveniently located. Lots of stuff to do in the area. One little thing was a bonus to me. The bathroom nightlight. It may be nothing to others but I've never seen this before and I found it useful!"
