I also enjoyed chatting to the lady in charge in French, as my Italian is virtually non-existent and it turned out we were both ex-teachers of French. "Room was clean and well appointed. A few marks on the walls from guests and their luggage mishandling. Nice bathrooms and bedrooms. Quiet building in central area of Venice. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Only small criticism was they locked us out before 10 and it was a hassle to get back in our day of departure. Overall highly recommended."
