"‘Japanese style’ experience. Futons on the floor, nice bath house, excellent coffee, staff was very nice. Problem, we booked for 4 people, paid in advance for what we thought was 4 people. When we arrived, we had reservations for 2 people. They accommodated 4 in one room stating we would have some small ancillary fees, but then we were charged us an additional ~400 dollars when we checked out. "Wonderful clean, spacious and beautiful apartment! Staff all very helpful and friendly. Location was perfect for Shinkansen and Toji temple was a must visit. Busy road but not a problem and didn’t stop us sleeping very well. Would recommend!! (Apologies to staff that the umbrella was not returned to holder, it was taken when we left it outside a shop and I forgot to get a replacement) "

"This was a unique property to stay at for our Japan trip. The property was beautiful and was definitely an experience I recommend. Staff was so helpful when first arriving. They try their best to explain things, especially with a language barrier for myself. The hospitality was exceptional. Would recommend anyone to stay here. A little far of a walk from the main station with luggage so maybe a take a taxi. And have them take you to the check-in area instead of the property itself."
