"This hotel is amazing and the staff working there is awesome and always helpful. It's located right besides the famous 5-storey pagoda. All the attractions in this area are walkable distance. The staff is always there to help with any kind of questions and provide suggestions for anything. The lady (Shun) was always there for us, helped with our luggage and allowed us to do a early check in as well. She is the best. :) "

"I made the right choice to stay here. One of the best experience I had in Kyoto, I wished I booked more than a night. The staff were very welcoming and courteous, they gave me a 5 star service. The room, actually it was more of a suite, was clean. I felt like I was in a different world when I was there because of the set up/ambiance. They also have a great location, just right beside the shrine. Just don’t bring heavy luggage because of the stairs, I felt bad that they carried my heavy luggage...

Some of the key spots are just around the corner from the hotel. Given the crowds during the day, it was easy to see them early in the morning or after dinner when the crowds were much smaller.
