"Staff was excellent"

"Breakfast was included. It was a self serve kitchen which was very well stocked. Room had a fan that allowed you to add ice cube trays to help keep the room cool. Bathroom was newly renovated. Beds were comfortable. Room size was good. A little noise from street traffic but it did not cause any issue with sleeping. Great host. Very attentive. Would stay there again"

"The family room was lovely and well equipped for 2 adults and 2 children. A couple of niggles in that the blind was broken in the bathroom and the rubbish bins were a bit on the small side. Staff were really lovely and nothing was any trouble. Breakfast was delicious and we had 1 meal there which was great. Lovely setting next to the river. Would highly recommend"

"We were expecting a well maintained, boutique hotel, sadly it was not. Although refurbished in Nov 2014, the state of our room (1) lacked maintenance. Although each was relatively minor, when 10 issues are present, then the result is a disappointment. I relayed these to the receptionist on departure, and she seemed reluctant to seriously acknowledge the problem. This summed up the general feeling of laissez-faire."

"The hotel has basic furniture, no wardrobes or drawers for putting personal items out of view. The wash basin sink took ages to empty. The kettle had no filter so would take longer to switch off. Breakfast food was always slightly overcooked, especially bacon and sausages. Apart from these niggles it was clean, comfortable bed (very large) changed regularly. The staff very friendly and helpful. Be aware, it only accepts card payments, No cash. Nearby there is an Asda express, a mcdonlds and a...
