"The hotel is located at the port on the north side of the island 5 min from the airport. It’s not at a place you would want to get in the ocean. Hotel is more like a motel 6. On site restaurant had a limited menu and the waitress were not that friendly. Room was clean and updated but the air conditioner was loud and broke down. Complained to the tech and he didn’t stay long enough to hear the issue after getting it working again. Front desk removed the resort fee to make up for the lack of sleep...
"This was the perfect place for our family of 6 to stay on our first trip to Maui! The pool and beach kept the kids entertained all day long and it was so nice to be able to go straight upstairs and make dinner or lunch. Or head to the pool bar or Duke's next door when we didn't want to make anything. Being able to do laundry was a major plus with messy little kids and salt/chlorine soaked swimsuits.
