"From the moment we arrived the staff greeted us with warm smiles and salutations, and throughout our stay it remained the same. Alan and his wife (the chef), Ariel, Alan’s brother and Andre and Patricia ( another chef) provided us with a rich history of the area and delicious meals. We slept like babies each night in the spacious lodging provided for us. The mountaintop views are breathtaking and taking a dip in the private waterfall was so refreshing! We totally enjoyed our stay!"

"This is a cute little property off the beaten path. Lots of tico places to eat in the area but you need a car. We don’t recommend the seafood place across the highway though. Breakfast was amazing, especially the homemade bread and condiments. The laminated note in the room about not getting sand in the beach towels was a little odd!"

I preferred walking the paths at the top of the mountain having ridden to those trail heads. This includes parking at the top and walking down to the overlook platform beautiful fuse So much cooler 10 to 15° perfect hiking weather never above 70°F and contrast with my days by the coast not humid not hot Bug spray would’ve...

"This was our second stay with Ms. Diana at Clandestino. We love her and the peaceful retreat she has created. My kids are 17 and 9, and they love everything about Clandestino. The pool is amazing. We especially enjoy all Ms. Diana’s adopted furr-babies, including Pippa the raccoon. Everything there is done with love. Cannot wait to return! 💚🌴"

"The view at this hotel is amazing, but the hotel has fallen into disrepair. We almost never had hot water, which they seemed to be able to remedy after our complaining but then it would go out again. The pool swim up bar was never open or operating during our stay. "This property is so close to Manuel Antonio that the howler monkeys and animals are basically at your balcony. We had howlers outside our room on the second floor and they woke us up! It was amazing!"
