"Cheap and cheerful (staff). Room was clean, basic, bed was comfy. Serves it's purpose but at £50 for the night I've stayed in far worse. Would consider again. Limited food from a Service Station but to save a 3 hour drive in the morning it helped massively. "

"Let's start with the good stuff. Bathroom spotless, lovely fluffy towels and a great size too, not the usual handkerchief you often get! Massive bed, crisp clean bedding, great pillows. OK, so let's ignore the fact that the decor is in need of an update - it might be shabby, but the room was really clean throughout. Negatives? Central heating SO noisy, I had to wear earplugs to block out the background noise. And the shower, although really good and hot, is like being spiked by needles! Easily...

"Always had good stay with village before but this time there was problem at check in as I booked through Expedia. Paid through Expedia, and only had to pay for late check out at hotel but they tried to take full stay and the extra payment. They kept saying there was issue as there was insufficient fund in my card but I had already paid for stay. They blamed Expedia for this. Already a bad start to the stay. "We had a great overnight stay at The White Hart when visiting the area for a wedding. A dressing room was available to use so we didn't have to travel in our wedding outfits, but our room was ready so we were able to check in earlier. The room was small but it had all we needed. There was tea and coffee available in the room, the linen was clean and the bed comfortable. There were a few chairs and tables outside on the walkway where you can sit and enjoy the sunshine. "Very nice hotel, close to railway station so ideal for me and without any noise. Stayed in a suite, very well laid out with plenty of room. My only negative comment would be one of the basins in the bathroom was stained which was a little visually off-putting, but no other concerns. "
