It was OK, there are nicer places close bye.

We were only there for 1 night, and the staff seemed a little surprised and disorganized but they made things work out.

Clean but would not recommend

We were enjoying our stay until the cleaning lady said we broke a glass top that was on the dresser, we didn’t. They charged us $40 American dollars to replace this top that we did not break. I feel that we were 1)scammed or 2) The cleaning lady dropped our coffee pot on top and broke it. Either way will never stay there again and would not recommend anyone else to.

Mmmm.. Moonrise

This is about our fourth stay here, we fell in love with the quietness, privacy, location and most of all the hospitality received from Ms Linda and her staff from the first and this has only changed to get better. From booking, arrival, stay and departure, all ran smoothly. I love Ms Linda's infectious laughter that we often heard from our room ;-). We had our own vehicle so we explored the other end of Negril - West End - and found so many pleasant places to eat from, particularly Just Natural food and Lobster, lovely. Must be pretty good because now when we book the rooms are more limited, we just got this one! Thank you much Ms Linda. Thank you Expedia for booking options at Moonrise.

Rustic Hotel across the street from 7 Mile Beach

I had a great experience at Moonrise. The rooms were clean, large and comfortable. It offered the necessary amenities - fridge and microwave. Other rooms came with a fully equipped kitchen and balcony. All of the rooms came with updated air conditioners. There were plenty of areas on the property to hang out, relax and do grown folks activities! I plan to return!! Thank you Moonrise Villas for a great visit...

I was extremely hot.

The air conditioner was not working correctly and the room remained hot for the entire duration of my stay. I complained about my problem and was told it was a new system and I had to give it a chance. I have severe asthma and it didn't work out well because my stay was extremely uncomfortable and i ended up staying at this facility only one nite.

One of the worst ever in my life, No WiFi

One of the worst stay ever in my life. I recommend looking somewhere else. No WiFi and horrible parking. Don't even look at this Hotel, keep moving on.

Basic, dated facility, with friendly owner/staff

I was in Negril for a week in early March and chose this place based on location (Seven Mile Beach - which is really only a bit more than 4 miles) and, Expedia pricing and reviewer rating (more on that later). When I booked on Expedia, the name used was Moon Rooms. After I had booked, I proceeded to do a bit more research and couldn’t find anything on Moon Rooms. It was only when I read the Expedia reviews in detail that the name Moonrise came up. And the reports were generally glowing. Moonrise Villas is adjacent to the Harley Davidson Jamaica shop and across the street from Charela Inn, both of which Google Maps knows about. The hotel is owned by Linda and she is generally on-site. The hotel has no front desk service so you should call to arrange for a key when you arrive. My room (#204) was air-conditioned, clean and spacious. It was on the south side of the building and was bright during the daytime. The bathroom has a tub/shower and the bathroom is quite large for a hotel. The stairs going up to the second floor have a rise of about one inch more than I am used to – not too bad going up, but bone-jarring coming down. There is great TV service for those who need to keep in touch with what is going on back home. I walked into town almost every day I was here and it took about 40 minutes to reach the HiLo Supermarket. The area appeared to be safe. The hustlers from 30 years ago when I was last here have moved on.
