"My husband booked this hotel because he thought it was cool that it was an older building and the rooms were only in the 2nd and 3rd floor above a bar & restaurant. "The Element is a great hotel for Reno. Their breakfast was amazing! The rooms were nice and clean. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. The bar was fabulous as well. The hotel does a lot of little things for the guests which was appreciated such as a happy hour, water and coffee available anytime. The only draw back is the hotel is located on a busy street so it can be loud in the evening."

Outside the hotel there are enough homeless people with visible mental health problem roaming around - at some point one guy was emptying the trash right outside the hotel shouting various things. I think it gave my 14 y.o. daughter a renewed appreciation for where she lives. "

"First of all, we were booked and put in a smoking room, I’m guessing because we booked through Expedia. We had 2 rooms and they were both booked as smoking. Multiple calls were just met with no non-smoking rooms are available. One whole day we had to experience a jack hammer or air hammer breaking of concrete in the room above us. This went on for 8 hours. Couldn’t stay in the room. Calling the desk resulted in we’re at full capacity and can’t move you, and are unable to refund room charges...

"The place was disgusting and there was no breakfast or amenities. Check in kiosk is a joke and had to get keys 3 times before it worked on the room. The bathroom was disgusting."
